Self Catering in Snowdonia near Cader Idris.
Gwengraig is a working hill farm running a flock of 500 hardy Welsh Mountain ewes.The land runs from 738 feet above sea level at the lower slopes up to the eastern most peak of the Cader Idris mountain range at 2,241 feet.
The farmhouse dates back to the 16th century, original features include oak beams very thick stone walls, large inglenook and flagstone floors add to the character of the house. Games room (in outbuilding) with pool table as well as a one acre fishing lake (regularly stocked with trout) are available to guests staying at Gwengraig.
And for those who enjoy plane spotting, the Mach Loop can occasionally be seen as it passes through the valley.

The Farmhouse is located in a walkers’ paradise…with many walks directly from the front door. Cyclists are well looked after too, with access onto the national cycle route directly from the property. Mountain bikes and gear available to rent.
There are plenty of wonderful places to visit and things to do in Snowdonia, Portmeirion, Talyllyn Railway, Clogau Goldmines and Electric Mountain to name a few!
